St Johns College - What's On in and around Durham and County Durham

Called into the theatre cafe after a walk around Durham. The cafe was busy but the staff were very good at taking and processing orders. Our order was brought to our table with the comment "If you need anything else we are here to help". The food was good as was the coffee. We will definately return.

Lovely theatre and cinema complex in the heart of Durham city centre. The theatre is comfortable with good seating. A fairly steep slope to the auditorium means that most seats have unrestricted views of the stage, unless you are unfortunate to have a very tall person sitting directly in front of you. The bar area is quite small, but service is speedy and efficient. It can be a pleasant venue for a coffee in the middle the day. A good range of shows and musical productions are programmed every year. Durham Brass being a highlight of the music productions. The cinema although small by modern standards shows all the latest releases at very competitive prices.

Despite the projector cutting out halfway through the movie this is a great cinema with very reasonable prices. Pick and mix is also a good addition.
